Hello June!

We are officially half way through the year – and I still reckon it feels about late February. Time flies.

And what aEwan043n exciting time we’ve been having here at Fintech Profile.

Back in January we set out to profile a new Fintech player every single week and I can’t tell you how delighted we all are to have achieved this. It’s been seriously exciting reading all the submissions. I think my favourite question is still the background one – I have been finding that answer particularly fascinating.

The backgrounds of those profiled are as diverse as their companies. We’ve profiled ultra new startups taking their first tentative steps into the fast-paced world of Fintech and we’ve also profiled more established players having to constantly adapt to market pressures.

Here at FinTech Profile we’re now a team of three – there’s myself, Emma (who organises the schedule and interacts with everyone) and Sarah (who manages the publication of each profile). We’d like to collectively thank all of you for reading – thank you so much for your attention. We also have to thank the individuals we’ve featured so far for taking the time to reply to our questions. Plus, we also must thank the backroom boys and girls – the public relations professionals – who are often involved with the logistics of publishing each profile.

I set out on the 1st of January this year to begin chronicling the growing industry of financial technology players out there. I leveraged the reach and audience of my other publication, Mobile Industry Review, to help find a wide variety of companies to feature. I never wanted to only focus on the usual suspects at the front of mind in the marketplace. Company profiles will continue to be our main focus, however I wanted to let you know about one change that’s coming: Investors. We’ve had quite a lot of enquiries from venture capitalists, angels (and even some institutional investors) about participating.

So starting shortly you’ll begin to see some investor profiles. I think this could be rather useful for those hunting for the right investment partner and for those due to pitch, it could become a helpful resource!

It it a wonderful delight to hear from our readers either on social, by email or at various events around London. Please do say hello. We love hearing from readers!

And we especially love hearing from those who would like to be profiled. It’s perfectly fine to nominate yourself and the nomination process is as simple as writing us an email with a few details about your company. Provided we reckon you qualify as operating in the Fintech sector then we’ll get the questions out to you – and then book a space in the schedule for you.

There is, as ever, no cost at all. It’s freely given – I get so much value from reading the profiles so I cover the production costs.

So if you’re working in the Fintech space as either a company or an investor, please drop us a note and we’ll begin the profile process!
