Bahrain launches “Bahrain FinTech Bay”

Now this is an interesting one: Bahrain has launched a FinTech Hub – here’s the news from the Economist Intelligence Unit:

BFB is a government initiative operated by the Singapore-based Fintech Consortium that aims to bring together technology entrepreneurs, corporates, regulators and investors to drive the development of a financial technology (fintech) ecosystem. Bahrain, formerly the region’s conventional banking centre, is making efforts to establish itself as a hub for fintech innovation.
